MRDC PRONTO Systems Administrators attend training at PRONTO Headquarters in Brisbane

The Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) continues to build its internal systems capability, with two of its Pronto Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Administrators recently completing specialised training in Brisbane, Australia.

Ms Serah Auma and Mr Steven Teosin attended a week-long program at the Pronto Software head office, aimed at further developing MRDC’s ERP system capability. The training covered advanced features and practical best practices to support more effective and efficient use of the system across the organisation.

Ms Auma described the training as a positive experience, “It was a valuable week of learning, with plenty of ideas to bring back to enhance MRDC’s systems, streamline processes, and improve user support,” she said.

Pronto serves as a critical business system for daily operations, financial, and administrative processes across the organisation.

As Systems Administrators, manage key financial functions, maintain user access and system security, and support workflows such as purchase approvals, leave applications, and other HR processes.

Ms Auma emphasised the importance of Pronto as a mission-critical system for MRDC.

“Pronto has become an essential operational platform that enables MRDC to manage business processes efficiently while supporting governance, compliance, and reporting requirements,” she said.

She added that the training represents a strategic investment in building internal ERP capability. “As Pronto is a mission-critical system supporting core organisational operations, strengthening in-house technical expertise is essential to improving service delivery, reducing dependency on external support, and ensuring the system continues to evolve in line with business requirements.

The exposure to Pronto’s best practices and direct engagement with the vendor has provided practical insights that will contribute positively to ongoing system optimisation, governance, and business process improvement at MRDC.”
