| The Systems Administrator (Infrastructure) is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, storage systems, and related hardware and software components. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, availability, and performance of the organisation’s IT systems and services, supporting business operations in alignment with MRDC’s strategic objectives. |
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Windows Server and Linux environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft 365, virtualisation platforms, and enterprise storage systems.
- Manage network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, wireless, firewalls, routing, switching, VoIP/IP PABX, and related security services
- ■ Strengthen cybersecurity through patch management, endpoint protection, monitoring, vulnerability assessments, SIEM review, and incident response support.
- ■ Maintain backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and hybrid cloud environments including Microsoft Azure and other relevant platforms.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support, produce clear technical documentation, contribute to ICT projects, and drive automation and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant diploma or advanced certificate required.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a similar enterprise ICT role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox, Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS, backup solutions, and enterprise networking technologies.
- Professional certifications such as Azure Administrator, CCNA, Security+, RHCSA, VCP, ITIL, or similar will be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and time-management skills, with a commitment to service, teamwork, and continuous learning.
