HIDES PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT LICENSE 1 (PDL1)
Sub Clan Account Opening Program

This public notice serves to inform all project area landowners in Hides Petroleum Development License 1 (PDL1) that the Mineral Resources Development Company Limited (MRDC) will resume the Bank Account Opening exercise in Tari, Hela Province.

After much delay, the Gas Resources Gigira Limited Board has authorized MRDC to re-engage with the beneficiary clans, especially the main clans who wish to open sub clan bank accounts.

MRDC will proceed with the sub-clan bank account opening exercise as per schedule highlighted below:

MRDC urges the full cooperation of all clan leaders and key stakeholders so that this program is successfully completed as scheduled.

Block leaders should take note of this notice and inform the landowners of the respective sub clans/blocks of the program.

MRDC remains committed to completing this important process to ensure that the royalty and equity benefits for the PDL1 beneficiaries are finally paid after much delay.

MRDC also notifies all stakeholders including the impacted landowners of Hides PDL1 that MRDC will not be responsible for any costs that is incurred during the program.
