The Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) continues to help promote the Kutubu region as a tourism hub through its annual financial support of K50, 000 to the Kutubu Kundu and Digaso Festival (KKDF).

The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC) has issued an Electricity Generation Licence (Generation Licence) to Dirio Gas & Power Company Limited (Dirio) to generate and supply power to PNG Power Limited’s (PPL) Port Moresby Grid (Pom Grid).
