MRDC Netball Team Secures Grand Final Spot

The Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) Division 4 netball team delivered an exceptional performance over the weekend, securing a 16–7 victory against Telikom 1 in the Private Company Netball Competition (PCNC) preliminary finals at the Rita Flynn Netball Courts.

The decisive win now sets up a Grand Final showdown against City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) on Sunday, 8 March 2026.

A victory this weekend would see MRDC crowned the PCNC Division 4 Champions and secure their promotion to Division 2 in the 2027 season. 

MRDC Team Manager and Goal Defender, Ms. Renee Ofae, said the team went into the match confident and prepared.

“Telikom gave us a strong challenge, and we responded with discipline. In every match, there is always a winner, and MRDC earned that spot to meet CPL in the Grand Final this weekend.

“This week, our training sessions will focus on targeted spot‑training with our coach and captains to address individual violations and reduce errors. Fewer mistakes mean a stronger performance on game day.”

“Making it to the ‘Big Dance’ is already a major achievement. The team is excited because this is what we have worked for all season, and now we are ready to see it through.”
