Students at the Kikori Secondary School in the Gulf province now have access to a modern computer laboratory equipped with e-library facilities that will greatly enhance learning. The computer laboratory is the first of its kind to be built in the area. It is a modern fully furnished building equipped with 24 computers and 1 teacher workstation.

The efforts of front line health workers combating the spread of COVID-19 in Gulf and Western provinces received a major boost today. Helicopter company HEVILIFT today donated protective gear and equipment worth K45,000 bought from Australia to governors of the two provinces at the HEVILIFT hanger at 7 Mile, Port Moresby.

Officers from the Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) and the Department of Petroleum and Energy were received with song and dance over the weekend in Kiunga as the team visited the Western Province fraction of the PNGLNG pipeline Segment 1 beneficiaries.

PNGLNG Pipeline Segments three (3), four (4) and five (5) beneficiaries will receive their share of the project benefits, totalling K4.9 million in royalty and equity this week.

The Mineral Resources Development Company will begin delivering benefits earmarked for PNG LNG project pipeline landowners starting this year.

The Fly River Provincial Government (FRPG) have received their second batch of K7.2 million in dividends from Mineral Resources Ok Tedi No.2 (MROT2).

The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission (ICCC) has issued an Electricity Generation Licence (Generation Licence) to Dirio Gas & Power Company Limited (Dirio) to generate and supply power to PNG Power Limited’s (PPL) Port Moresby Grid (Pom Grid).
