Mr. Augustine Mano: Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Augustine Sanga Mano was appointed the Managing Director & CEO of Mineral Resources Development Company in March 2008. Mr. Mano graduated with Degrees in Economics and Arts majoring in Environmental Science from the University of Papua New Guinea and holds Master of Science in Petroleum Economics from Dundee University, Scotland. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Mano was involved in the civil constructions, real estate, transport and insurance. He currently serves as Director on the board of MRDC, Mineral Resources Star Mountains, Mineral Resources Ok Tedi No. 2, Mineral Resources Ramu, Petroleum Resources Kutubu, Petroleum Resources Moran and Petroleum Resources Gobe. He is Chairman of the Pearl South Pacific Resort in Fiji, Star Mountains Plaza and Taumeasina Resort in Samoa. He is also serving as a Director on various company boards including Hevilift, PNG Air, Bank South Pacific and Ok Tedi Mining Limited.

Mr. John Tuaim: Chief Operating Officer

Mr. John Tuaim joined MRDC in November 2010 and was appointed General Manager for Technical Services. Prior to this, Mr Tuaim worked with the Department of Treasury where he held several positions including Assistant Secretary to the Investment Branch of the Structural Policy and Investment Division. While at the Department of Treasury, he represented the Treasurer on the Finance Committee for the PNG LNG Project. Mr Tuaim also served on the Board of Water PNG (formally PNG Waterboard), Industrial Center Development Corporation (ICDC), National Roads Authority, Ok Tedi Mining Limited and Dirio Gas & Power. He was also a member of the Mining Advisory Council and Petroleum Advisory Board; he was Chairman of Lamin Trust and a Trustee Director for the Ok Tedi Royalty Trust.Mr. Tuaim holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics at the University of Papua New Guinea. He has a Masters in Project Management (Oil and Gas) from the University of Liverpool

Mr. Kevau Ganiga Morea: Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kevau Ganiga joined MRDC in 2014. Prior to his appointment, Mr Ganiga was the Finance Manager for the Oil Search Health Foundation and 2 years prior to that, he was the Finance Manager for Oil Search PNG Limited for over 5 years. He has over 18 years experience in all facets of petroleum accounting through to relevant commercial, legal and ERP interfaces from his previous tenure with Chevron Niugini and Oil Search. Kevau graduated from the University of PNG with a Degree in Commerce and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Deakin University, Geelong, Victoria. He is also a member of Chartered Practising Accountants PNG.

Mr. Richard Aupae: General Counsel and Company Secretary

Serves in the role of General Counsel & Company Secretary for MRDC, PRK, Gas Resources Gigira, Gas Resources Angore and Gas Resources Juha, Gas Resources PNGLNG Pipeline and Gas Resources PNGLNG Plant, Mineral Resources Madang and Mineral Resources Enga. He is responsible for the Board & Legal Services Unit in MRDC.

Mr. Owen Makindi: General Manager Corporate Services

Mr. Owen Makindi joined MRDC in July 2018 as the General Manager Corporate Services. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the Food Manufacturing and Banking & Financial services, of which 15 years were in management levels. His career started with SP Brewery as a shift brewer and transitioned into Human Resources before joining ANZ Bank and eventually MRDC. His career highlights with ANZ include facilitating leadership & coaching programs, managing 10 ANZ Bank Branches outside of NCD and the Review of the Union Collective Agreement. Mr. Makindi has an MBA with the Torrens University of Adelaide, Australia. .
